The shortlist for the 2025/26 PFA Player of the Year award has been unveiled, featuring six standout nominees for the prestigious individual honour.

Arsenal lead the list with three players included following their successful Premier League campaign. Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhães and David Raya have all been recognised for their key contributions to the club’s title-winning season.

Goalkeeper David Raya is also in contention to make history, as he aims to become only the second goalkeeper ever to win the award, following Pat Jennings in 1976.

Manchester City also have two representatives on the shortlist, with Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki both nominated. Haaland, who previously won the award in the 2022/23 season, also claimed the Premier League Golden Boot this campaign.

Completing the six-man list is Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United. The United captain enjoyed an impressive season, winning both the FWA Footballer of the Year and Premier League Player of the Season awards while also setting a new Premier League record with 21 assists.

The winner of the 2025/26 PFA Player of the Year award will be announced on Tuesday, 25 August at the PFA Awards Ceremony in Manchester.
