Nigerian singer Qing Madi has opened up in a new video about her experiences with her former record label, JTON Music, alleging mistreatment, financial misconduct, and attempts to hinder her career progress after she was signed at the age of 16.

The singer claimed that her former label interfered with her professional plans, including allegedly trying to stop her from going on tour and influencing sponsors against her.

She also accused the label of removing her music from streaming platforms and engaging in actions that affected her public image, while insisting she has continued to grow her fanbase independently.

In her words, she said:

“I signed to a record label when I was 16, I’m going on tour & you told the sponsors I’m not going on tour, I’ll bring back the records they took down, if anything happens it’s the label & I’ve left the label successfully, they even stole my money & are tarnishing my image, I appreciate my fans cuz without promo I’ve gotten millions of streams, this same label ruin another female artiste”

She further alleged that the dispute escalated into legal issues, including claims of forgery and a lawsuit.

“She stole from me, did a bunch of weird things like forging my signature. She sued me for $2M & she lost the case. She took down ‘Pepper Me’, I worked with my team to prove it’s an illegal takedown. They went through the corners again to take down the project”

The claims have sparked conversations online, with fans reacting to the allegations as the dispute between both parties continues to circulate publicly.
