The Super Falcons of Nigeria have maintained their 36th position in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings, according to the updated standings.

Justine Madugu’s side also retained their status as Africa’s highest-ranked women’s national team.

The African champions were recently in action in international friendlies against Senegal earlier this month, where they impressed with a dominant 3–0 victory in the second encounter. Joy Omewa scored twice, while Asisat Oshoala added the third goal.

Across the continent, South Africa, Ghana, Morocco, and Zambia complete the top five highest-ranked African teams behind Nigeria.

The next update to the FIFA Women’s World Rankings is scheduled for 20 October, 2026.
