Nigerian singer T.I Blaze has publicly accused music executive Dapper, who is in a relationship with chef Hilda Baci, of allegedly holding onto his music catalogue, royalties and other financial interests despite claiming that their contract has expired.
The singer made the allegations through a series of posts on X on Friday, expressing frustration over what he described as months without a new release and unresolved issues surrounding his music.
T.I Blaze wrote:
“Im not being dramatic, i waited for this go amicably. 7months no new drop. You think say I jonzе. Me wey dey game pass 😂😂. Contract expire, you wan dull me keh. The -$185k after over a billion revenue prove it. Drop my catalogue I’ll pay it. Nah less”
He also challenged the handling of his intellectual property, questioning how his music could be licensed without his approval.
“F^ck Ripper music … Who dey licenses another person intellectual property without mutual agreement? Dapper your cup don finally full.”
The singer further raised questions about Virgin Music’s involvement, particularly over how the company’s share was being deducted, and demanded an explanation for funds he said had not been properly accounted for.
“How did virgin music get in to a business where you’re supposed to take 30 percent and bounce, from whose cut is virgin taking their bag? … how did 1.2 billion naira go unexplained. Dapper music come and answer?”, he noted.
