Nollywood actress Uche Jombo has condemned the circulation of photos and videos showing the wife of late actor Alexx Ekubo, saying her privacy should have been respected.
The actress reacted after images of Alexx’s widow began trending online shortly after his service of songs. During the memorial event, the grieving wife reportedly wore a face mask, a move many interpreted as an effort to avoid public attention and keep her identity hidden.
Expressing her disappointment, Uche Jombo noted that Alexx had deliberately kept his wife away from the spotlight throughout their relationship, adding that his close friends also respected that decision by never sharing her photos publicly.
“A husband who been through public scrutiny kept his wife private (to protect her) none of his close friends ever shared her picture, she wore face mask to his service of songs. Yet somehow the privacy message didn’t register to bloggers.
Woke up today to her videos and pictures all over my TL as breaking news.”
Her remarks have sparked conversations on social media, with many users agreeing that the late actor’s widow deserved privacy during such a difficult period rather than having her identity widely shared online.
