Former Big Brother Naija star Vee has criticised the increasing habit of filming strangers in public and sharing the videos online, saying society has become too comfortable with the practice.

Taking to X, she wrote: “Surveillance is at an all time high. Anyone can post you online as soon as you leave your home. I can’t believe we’ve normalised this.”

When an X user argued that it was one of the downsides of being a celebrity, Vee pushed back, saying the issue goes beyond fame.

“Firstly, it’s not a perk. Secondly, celebrities aren’t the only people experiencing this,” she responded, stressing that ordinary people are also being recorded and posted online without their permission.
