Former Big Brother Naija star Uriel has shared her thoughts on healing after relationships, using the recent buzz surrounding American rapper Cardi B as an example.
Her comments followed videos showing Cardi B spending time with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, a moment that has intensified rumours about the pair.
Although neither Cardi B nor Okoye has confirmed they are in a relationship, their recent outings together have kept fans talking. There has also been no official confirmation that Cardi B and NFL star Stefon Diggs have ended their relationship.
Reflecting on the situation, Uriel questioned whether people are placing too much emphasis on taking long breaks after failed relationships instead of allowing themselves to move forward.
She wrote:
“CARDI B HAS ME ASKING A SERIOUS QUESTION: ARE WOMEN SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME ‘HEALING’ AFTER RELATIONSHIPS?
“MY GIRL DOESN’T DISAPPEAR FOR 6 MONTHS. A YEAR, OR TWO YEARS. SHE CLOSES ONE CHAPTER AND KEEPS IT MOVING.
“SO WHAT’S THE BETTER APPROACH IN 2026? TAKING YEARS TO HEAL, OR BEING OPEN TO NEW LOVE WHEN IT SHOWS UP?
“MAYBE HEALING ISN’T ALWAYS HIDING FROM RELATIONSHIPS. MAYBE SOMETIMES HEALING IS LIVING YOUR LIFE AND MOVING FORWARD.”
