Fresh drama has erupted around Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo’s marriage after her sister, Sochima, publicly called out the actress’s husband, Bobby Maris, amid growing speculation that the couple’s relationship has hit the rocks.
Rumours of a marital crisis first surfaced after Uche and Bobby Maris unfollowed each other on Instagram. The actress also shared a cryptic message that many fans interpreted as a sign that all was not well in their marriage.
Just 24 hours later, Sochima intensified the controversy by taking to social media with a series of explosive allegations against her brother-in-law.
In her post, she accused Bobby Maris of being lazy and failing to contribute to the family’s wellbeing, claiming he offers little to no financial, emotional, or physical support. She further alleged that he often provokes Uche before bringing out his phone to record her reaction, while portraying a different image online.
According to Sochima, Uche’s only “crime” was deciding that she could no longer continue with the marriage.
She wrote:
“Koromoto husband!!!! Very lazy thing, sleeps from Monday to Sunday, contributes absolutely nothing to the growth of the family, not even physical, emotional or even general care to even his children. I mean money is not everything, but when you are not getting money or emotional support Omo.
“The idiot will even come on social media to be forming big boy. Omo that thing use to annoy me ehhhh. You will provoke your wife and once she’s set off then it will bring out camera and start recording. Her only crime was that she said she’s not doing again oo. Go and find your next client lazy thing!!!!”
Bobby Maris has yet to publicly respond to the allegations, while Uche Ogbodo has also remained silent on her sister’s remarks. The unfolding drama has continued to spark reactions across social media as fans speculate about the state of the couple’s marriage.
