Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has assured former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, that efforts are ongoing to secure the release of his kidnapped sister and her two sons.
Makinde gave the assurance when he visited Adelabu to commiserate with him and his family over the abduction incident that has sparked concern across the state.
During the visit, the governor said his administration, in collaboration with security agencies, is actively working to ensure the safe return of the victims.
He explained that the visit was also to personally brief Adelabu on steps being taken by the government since the incident occurred.
Addressing journalists after the meeting, Makinde said: “You are all aware of what happened to the younger sister of my dear brother, Oloye Adebayo Adelabu.
“I actually came to brief him on what the government has been doing regarding that incident.
“My visit is also to let him know that by the grace of God, we will bring her and her sons back.”
