Businessman Isaac Fayose has claimed that five governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are secretly supporting the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Fayose made the claim in a recent video shared on his social media handle, alleging that the unnamed governors had pledged financial support for the NDC’s campaign.

According to him, the governors would not publicly campaign for the NDC or make statements in support of the party because they remain members of the APC.

“We now have five APC governors supporting the NDC in this election. They are not going to come out to campaign for us. They are not going to say anything in public that will favour us, but underneath, they promised us to sponsor this election,” Fayose said.

He claimed that the governors’ main request was that Nyesom Wike should not secure victory for the APC in the Federal Capital Territory or Rivers State.

Fayose also alleged that the governors wanted to prevent electoral malpractice and had offered to provide ₦200,000 to polling agents in Rivers State and the FCT for each polling unit.

“So they are offering all our polling agents in Rivers and FCT two hundred thousand per polling unit; if you can stand together against rigging, they are willing to give you two hundred thousand naira each,” he claimed.

Fayose said the governors were keeping their identities private because of their membership of the APC.

The claims have not been independently verified, and Fayose did not publicly identify the five governors he alleged were supporting the NDC.
