Spain have booked their place in the FIFA World Cup final after defeating France 2-0 in a commanding semi-final performance.
The European champions took control of the match with Mikel Oyarzabal converting from the penalty spot before Pedro Porro produced a brilliant solo run to score Spain’s second goal and seal the victory.
The win marked Spain’s third consecutive triumph over France and ended Les Bleus’ hopes of reaching a third straight World Cup final under manager Didier Deschamps.
Following the victory, Spain celebrated their latest achievement and will now turn their focus to the second semi-final between Argentina and England to discover their opponents in the final, which will be played at the New York–New Jersey Stadium.
