Senate President Godswill Akpabio has jokingly teased Senator Adams Oshiomhole over the viral private jet video that appeared to show him massaging a woman’s leg.
Speaking during Thursday’s plenary, Akpabio revealed that the Senate initially dismissed a petition related to the video because lawmakers believed it had been generated with artificial intelligence (AI).
“I don’t want to go outside what we were doing. I would have asked a question, when there was a picture of our senator massaging the leg of a girl. Senator Oshiomhole, your very good friend, Senator Lalong, came to give me security information that we just ignored the petition because we thought it was AI. But if you have another evidence, we can look into it,” Akpabio said.
The Senate President was referring to a video that surfaced online in February 2026, showing a man who appeared to be Oshiomhole aboard a private jet with a woman resting her legs on his lap while he seemingly massaged them.
The footage attracted widespread attention and criticism, with many Nigerians questioning the optics of the incident amid the country’s economic hardship.
