President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, to take part in the Africa Forward Summit, a high-level gathering focused on investment, innovation, and sustainable development across the continent.
According to a statement from Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the President’s aircraft landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:18 a.m. local time on Monday.
On arrival, Tinubu was received by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, alongside the Kenyan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Isaac Parashina, senior government officials, and members of Nigeria’s diplomatic mission in Kenya.
The summit, jointly hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron, brings together African leaders, global policymakers, investors, and development partners to explore opportunities for economic growth and strategic collaboration.
Tinubu’s attendance highlights Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening African unity, boosting regional economic cooperation, and building partnerships aimed at accelerating sustainable development and infrastructure expansion.
Discussions at the forum are expected to centre on key areas such as economic transformation, digital innovation, trade growth, climate resilience, infrastructure development, and long-term strategies for shared prosperity across Africa.
