The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced Saturday, June 13, 2026, as the date for the 2026 UTME mop-up examination for candidates who were unable to complete the test despite being successfully verified biometrically.

The board explained that the exercise is meant for candidates affected by issues during the main examination, which was held from April 23 to April 29, 2026.

Several candidates reportedly faced technical problems at some centres, preventing them from sitting for the exam. Others had their results withdrawn over examination malpractice, while some candidates who appeared for the examination could not complete biometric verification. JAMB confirmed that all affected candidates have now been scheduled for the mop-up exercise.

In a statement issued on Monday by JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, the board described the examination as the final stage of the 2026 UTME process aimed at resolving all pending cases involving eligible candidates who encountered difficulties during the examination.

JAMB also directed affected candidates to start printing their Examination Notification Slips from Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The board advised candidates to carefully check their examination centres and prepare ahead of time, stressing that the mop-up exercise would be the final opportunity to sit for the 2026 UTME.
