Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has expressed deep concern over the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, particularly following recent violent incidents and kidnappings in Oyo State.

In a reflective post, the actor described the emotional toll of the crisis, especially on children and families reportedly held captive in forests by abductors.

“I settle in for the night, I can’t help but think. As you go to bed tonight, remember there are children sleeping in the forests… imagine the cold, the bugs, the fear, the discomfort. Remember there is a mother holding her baby helplessly. Parents praying for safety. Schools living in fear.”

He further noted the contrast between the harsh realities faced by victims and the ongoing political activities across the country, including election preparations and campaign discussions.

“And somehow, in the middle of all this, election campaigns and preparations still continue. Bloggers are posting election like everything is normal. May we never become so used to tragedy that we stop feeling it.”

His remarks have since drawn attention online, adding to growing conversations about insecurity and public safety in different parts of the country.
