Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has been invited by the Lagos State Police Command for questioning over a controversial livestream in which he and other content creators wore police-style uniforms and carried out mock stop-and-search operations on Lagos roads.

Peller was joined in the livestream by fellow creators Ojo, Smart BM, and Jo Blaq on Monday night. The group was seen dressed in uniforms resembling those of the Nigeria Police Force while driving around the city.

During the broadcast, they stopped motorists, asked for vehicle documents, and conducted simulated searches as part of what appeared to be content creation.

The situation reportedly became tense after they stopped a serving senior police officer and later encountered an actual police checkpoint, leading to heated exchanges. Clips from the stream also showed a brief physical confrontation involving a soldier.

Music promoter Sam Larry was said to have intervened remotely via phone or video call to help de-escalate the situation. No arrests were made during the livestream, but officers reportedly issued warnings at the scene.

Peller later confirmed his invitation by the police, saying he was already at the station and describing the livestream as unsuccessful.
