Veteran Nollywood actor Owolabi Ajasa has refuted widespread rumours claiming he has died, describing the reports as false.
The rumours began after a fake obituary poster announcing the actor’s death surfaced online and quickly spread across social media, leaving many fans worried.
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, Ajasa put the speculation to rest, assuring the public that he is alive and healthy.
“I’m still much alive in good health,” he said.
The actor also expressed disappointment with those behind the false reports, saying, “To everyone posting my obituary around, I’m saying back to the sender to you and your family.”
Reaffirming his wellbeing, Ajasa addressed his fans both at home and abroad.
“Good day everyone, my name still remains Owolabi Ajasa, your Nollywood police officer. I want to tell all my fans both in Nigeria and abroad that I’m still much alive. I’m alive, hale and hearty. There’s nothing wrong with me,” he said.
