Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has revealed a personal decision she made after attending the burial ceremony of late actor Alex Ekubo.
The actress shared that she set the outfit she wore to the event on fire after receiving advice from her godmother, who cautioned against keeping clothing worn to funerals.
According to her, she was told that outfits worn to burial ceremonies should not be retained or reused, a belief she decided to respect and act upon.
Angela explained that she chose to follow the advice and also share it with others who may not be aware of such cultural or spiritual practices.
“This is the outfit I wore to Alex’s burial, my Godmother said it’s not good to have the cloth you wore to a burial around you, you burn them.
So family and friends take note, I felt I should pass this information. May the Lord keep and bless us with long life amen Chaii,” she wrote.
