Chimsom Chuka has made history as the first Head of House (HoH) of Big Brother Naija Season 11 after winning the show’s inaugural challenge on Monday night.
The contest followed Sunday’s premiere, which introduced 24 housemates set to compete for the record-breaking ₦160 million grand prize in the edition themed “Show Yourself,” hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Every contestant took part in the opening HoH task, with the challenge split into separate stages for the male and female housemates. The quickest contestants advanced to the final round, where the winner would become Head of House and the runner-up would take the Deputy Head of House position.
Chimsom sealed the victory after completing the final obstacle in 2 minutes and 8 seconds, while Abi finished second to emerge as Deputy Head of House.
His triumph also guarantees him safety from this week’s eviction.
This season, however, comes with a fresh twist. Instead of automatically occupying the exclusive HoH lounge, the Head of House must draw the name of another housemate through a lucky dip. The selected housemate will then enjoy the luxury suite for the week.
