Reality TV star Tacha has celebrated Burna Boy’s historic performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show, saying the Afrobeats star has grown beyond being viewed as just a Nigerian artiste.
Reacting after Burna Boy’s appearance on the global stage, Tacha described him as an international music icon whose roots are in Nigeria.
“Burna Boy is not a Nigerian artist; he’s a global artist who happens to come from Nigeria,” she wrote.
She also cautioned people against speaking carelessly about the Grammy-winning singer, insisting he deserves greater respect.
“You all should be careful the way you call Burna Boy’s name on this app. Before you call his name, make sure you have baff and brush, and you’re wearing all white before you call Burna Boy’s name. That guy is not anybody’s mate,” she added.
