BBNaija winner Mercy Eke has shared her stance on cooking in relationships, saying she would not be with a man who expects her to prepare meals for him every day.
Speaking during an interview with Toke Makinwa, the reality TV star explained that she only cooks when she feels like it and does not believe daily cooking should be an obligation in a relationship or marriage.
“I can’t marry or date a man who wants me to cook for him regularly. I only cook once in a while when I am in the mood. If you want fresh food every day, hire a chef,” she said.
Mercy added that love alone would never make her cook every day, stressing that she is simply not suited for that kind of arrangement.
“It can’t be me. Love can never make me cook for a man every day. I’m not the woman for that kind of man. There are other women out there who will gladly do that, which is fine. So, if you marry me and you are thinking you don’t eat overnight food, it’s not me. I can’t cook every day,” she said.
“I can’t marry a man who won’t hire a driver and a chef for me—that’s a deal-breaker. 😂 I can cook for him once in a while when I’m in the mood, but some men still expect fresh food every single day.”
