R&B singer D4vd, who stands accused of murdering and dismembering a 14-year-old girl whose decomposing remains were later found inside his car, had a large quantity of child pornography stored on his phone, a prosecutor revealed Thursday.

The 21-year-old musician, whose real name is David Burke, could receive the death penalty for the killing of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Authorities claim he murdered the teenager, cut up her body, bagged the parts, and abandoned them to rot in the front trunk of his Tesla in the Hollywood Hills.

The girl was reportedly engaged in a sexual relationship with the emerging artist.Detectives allege that Burke carried out the murder on April 23 last year to protect his rising career after she threatened to publicize their involvement.

Her badly decayed body was discovered in the vehicle at a tow yard in September, shortly before she would have turned 15.At a preliminary hearing in Los Angeles, prosecutor Beth Silverman told the court that a forensic search of Burke’s iPhone uncovered “a significant amount of child pornography.”She offered no further details on the content, including whether any of it depicted the victim.

The high-profile case has sparked international headlines, with many highlighting unsettling connections to Burke’s music, especially his breakout song titled “Romantic Homicide.”Amateur online sleuths have also dug up evidence of the pair appearing together on streaming platforms and sporting matching “Shhh” tattoos on their fingers.
