A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Buba Galadima, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu would be defeated in the 2027 general election, even under what he described as extreme and unlikely circumstances.
Galadima made the remarks on Tuesday while speaking at the party’s convention, where he also accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of deliberately targeting opposition parties in the country.
He claimed that the APC-led government had been working to weaken major political platforms, including the PDP, SDP, NNPP, Labour Party, and ADC.
According to him, such alleged efforts would not succeed in silencing or destabilising the opposition.
He further urged party members and opposition figures to remain resilient, insisting that courage and unity were necessary to withstand political pressure and what he described as intimidation from those in power.
