Nigerian music superstar Davido has shared his thoughts on what his life in public office could look like if he ever decides to enter politics.

He made the comments during an interview on Davrel livestream in Lagos, where he spoke about the possibility of combining governance with his music career.

Davido said that even if he were to take on a government role, he would not completely step away from performing as an artist.

“If I ever decide to work in government, I’d still be performing. Michel Martelly was a musician while he was president of Haiti, and he still performed.”

He referenced former Haitian president Michel Martelly, who had a long career in music before becoming head of state, noting that his example shows it is possible to balance leadership with entertainment.

Davido’s remarks have since sparked discussions online about the intersection of celebrity influence and political leadership.
