Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has paid a visit to former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, following the abduction of his sister and her twin sons in Ibadan.
The visit comes amid growing concern over the whereabouts of Mrs. Busayo John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin boys, who were kidnapped by armed men in the Challenge area of Ibadan on June 3. Security agencies have since launched efforts to rescue the victims and apprehend those responsible.
Makinde’s visit was seen as a gesture of solidarity with Adelabu and his family as they continue to await positive news on the fate of the abducted mother and her children.
The governor has repeatedly pledged to strengthen security operations across the state amid rising kidnapping incidents and has assured residents that efforts are ongoing to secure the release of all abductees in Oyo State.
The abduction of Adelabu’s sister and her sons has sparked widespread concern, with political leaders, residents, and stakeholders calling for intensified action against kidnappers operating in the state.
