Memphis-born producer Tay Keith, widely known for shaping some of hip-hop’s biggest hits in recent years, has died at the age of 29.
Police in Nashville confirmed he was discovered during a welfare check at his apartment on Thursday. Authorities said there were no immediate signs of foul play, while investigations into the exact cause of death are still ongoing.
Tay Keith rose to mainstream prominence in 2018 after producing BlocBoy JB and Drake’s breakout track “Look Alive.” The success of the record marked the beginning of his rapid rise in the industry.
