Popular health advocate Aproko Doctor has revealed that his wife, Chef Amaka, did not fit the physical qualities he once imagined in a life partner, saying he eventually realised that character mattered more than appearance.
Speaking in a recent interview, the medical doctor said the idea of having a strict physical “spec” is overrated because the woman he married looked nothing like the picture he had created in his mind.
According to him, he had initially wanted a woman who was already “made” and tall, but everything changed after getting to know Amaka’s personality.
He explained that her compassion, sincerity and kind-hearted nature made him fall in love with her.
“I think spec is completely overrated. How do I say this without, quote and unquote, Instablog please I’m begging you, I’m not insulting my wife, but if you had seen this beautiful woman as at the time when we had our first date, she did not look anything like my spec. She did not look like the spec I created in my head.
“I wanted someone who was just… already made, tall, and the reason I say tall is because of my children. I have to plan ahead for them. But for me, it was what she was saying, the things, her thought, but most importantly for me was her heart towards people.
“Amaka is the kind of person who is an open book. She’s the definition of ‘this person cannot hurt a fly.’”
