Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has announced that he is now officially a member of the United States Army after successfully completing his military training.

Sharing photos to mark the achievement, Momodu reflected on the demanding 10-week journey, describing it as one filled with sacrifice, physical exhaustion and determination.

“From inception, I have always believed in achievements earned through merit, which is why I constantly push myself beyond limits.

“This particular one was forged through tears, fear of failure, resilience, endless days, short nights, fatigue, rain, and the scorching sun.”

He explained that the rigorous training reshaped him both physically and mentally.

“We trained tirelessly, were broken down and rebuilt. I went to sleep a civilian and woke up a soldier.

“Ten weeks of being incommunicado. Ten weeks of learning to find comfort in discomfort.”

Momodu revealed that he enlisted in the U.S. Army on April 12, 2026, describing the decision as a tribute to his late father, who served in the Nigerian Police Force.

“On April 12, 2026, I honored my late father in a historic way. 20 years after his passing, I picked up the baton where he left off in the Nigerian Police Force and carried it forward by getting enlisted into the United States Army.”

The actor confirmed that he now serves as Specialist (SPC) J.A. Momodu with the U.S. Army, adding that he is grateful to God for giving him the grace to pass his ASVAB examination on the first attempt and complete Basic Combat Training.

He dedicated the milestone to God, his late father and the royal family of Oba Momodu II of the Avyuele Clan in Agbede, Edo State, saying the achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter in his life.
