The Ondo State Government has ordered the dissolution of the boards of several parastatals and commissions across the state after their tenure officially lapsed.
The decision was conveyed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, and shared via the state’s official X account.
Among the agencies affected by the move are the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Local Government Service Commission, as well as the Muslim and Christian Welfare Boards.
The statement also confirmed that Education Secretaries serving in all 18 local government areas have completed their tenure and are included in the directive.
Those affected — including board chairmen, commissioners, members, and education secretaries — have been instructed to hand over their duties immediately to the most senior officers within their respective establishments.
“The Ondo State Government announces the expiration of tenure and consequent dissolution of the Boards of some Parastatals and Commissions in the State, with immediate effect.”
Authorities added that the transition process must be conducted smoothly and in line with established administrative procedures.
