Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has laid his late mother to rest in Oko-Item, Aba, in Abia State.
The funeral ceremony attracted family members, friends, and notable figures from Nigeria’s football community, who gathered to pay their final respects.
A wake-keep was held a night earlier in Umuahia, where relatives and sympathisers came together to honour the deceased and support the family during the period of mourning.
Among those present at the burial was the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, who joined other dignitaries in paying tribute to the late matriarch.
The emotional event marked the final farewell for Chukwueze’s mother, with the football community showing solidarity with the player and his family.
