Nigerian content creator Nasboi has reacted to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval of the recruitment of 1,000 forest guards in Oyo State, calling for a broader security response that covers all parts of the country.

The development follows the Federal Government’s move to strengthen security in Oyo through the deployment of forest guards aimed at tackling rising cases of kidnapping and other criminal activities in forest areas.

Reacting to the announcement, Nasboi urged the government not to limit such security interventions to one state, stressing that insecurity remains a nationwide issue affecting multiple regions.

He specifically referenced other troubled areas across the country, including the North and the Niger Delta, while questioning the selective approach.

He wrote:

“Dear President BOLA AHMED TINUBU

If the government has provided 1000 forest guards in the oyo community.

What about borno? Zamfara?

Osun? Kebbi?

Niger delta, NIGERIA?

At this point, the entire country needs security.”
