Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has once again criticized supporters of President Bola Tinubu, continuing her outspoken remarks on Nigeria’s insecurity and economic hardship.
In a series of posts shared on her Instagram story, the actress grouped Tinubu supporters into what she described as different categories based on their reactions to the country’s current situation.
She wrote:
“3 Types of Tinubu supporters
1. The ‘we don enter am’… these ones know in their heart that nothing makes sense but they have ties they can’t break.
2. The ‘believers’… these ones that believe something will happen eventually, maybe another tenure and things will get better.
3. The ‘delusional ones’… These ones live in a bubble. these ones??? just be praying for them, when you are praying for people in the psychiatric wards, include them.”
Jegede also posted a riddle-style message questioning how society handles individuals accused of serious crimes who are allegedly reintegrated without facing what she described as proper justice.
“Riddle… Riddle… Riddle…
I am a country, I rehabilitate people who have kidnapped its citizens, murd3r3d its children, rap3d its women, behaeded its men and desecrated its army back into the society with JUST swearing by the holy book?
WHAT AM I?”
She further added that speaking out against government corruption does not affect personal image or “aesthetic,” encouraging more Nigerians to voice their concerns.
“Speaking out against government corruption won’t ruin your aesthetic btw.”
