A closed-door meeting took place in Bauchi on Wednesday as Bala Mohammed sat down with Nentawe Yilwatda and Abba Yusuf at the Government House.
The session was strictly limited to the trio, with no party officials in attendance, while journalists were also shut out, leaving the outcome of the talks unknown.
After the meeting, both Mohammed and Yilwatda avoided speaking to reporters, insisting it was a personal engagement.
The development comes shortly after Mohammed openly hinted at a possible switch to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
His comment followed a recent visit by leaders of the party to Bauchi, led by Babachir Lawal, further fueling speculation about his next political move.
