The Federal High Court in Abuja has set April 14 for the hearing of a case contesting the leadership structure of the African Democratic Congress led by former Senate President David Mark.

The suit, filed by Nafiu Bala Gombe, is seeking a court order to stop Mark and other officials from acting or presenting themselves as the party’s executives.

Justice Emeka Nwite fixed the date after confirming that all parties involved have been properly served with hearing notices.

Those listed as defendants in the case include the ADC, Mark, former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, the Independent National Electoral Commission, and former party chairman Ralph Nwosu.

The matter had earlier been adjourned indefinitely pending the outcome of an appeal challenging a previous court decision.
