Jarvis has responded after social media was flooded with claims that she and her fiancé, Peller, entered into a blood covenant to keep each other from being unfaithful.
The rumours began after an old podcast interview resurfaced online. In the clip, Jarvis made a strong remark while talking about loyalty in relationships, saying anyone who cheats would face serious consequences.
She said:
“If you cheat, you die. It’s the rule of the relationship.”
Jarvis also explained that she believes their relationship is deeply rooted in faith, adding that anyone who chooses to betray such a commitment should expect the consequences.
Her comments quickly spread across social media, with many viewers concluding that the couple had performed a blood covenant before deciding to get married.
As the debate intensified, Jarvis took to her social media page to deny the claims and accused people of twisting her words.
In her post, she wrote:
“Good morning everyone.
Please, who exactly did they say performed a blood covenant or took an oath? As far as I can remember, it definitely wasn’t me and my partner.
I’m honestly confused. Has everyone suddenly gone deaf after listening to the podcast?
The only covenant we have is with God.”
Her response has since sparked another wave of reactions, with some Nigerians saying the original interview was misunderstood, while others continue to debate the couple’s views on commitment and faith.
The clarification comes as Jarvis and Peller continue counting down to their wedding, which is expected to take place on August 1.
