Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, participated in a high-level global gathering on Wednesday at the White House in Washington, DC, where leaders focused on the future of education and child protection in the digital age.
The event, titled Fostering the Future Together Summit, was hosted by Melania Trump and brought together 45 first ladies from across the world, including France’s Brigitte Macron, to discuss ways of expanding learning opportunities and ensuring safer online environments for children.
A standout moment at the summit was the introduction of an American-developed humanoid technology known as Figure 3. The system was presented by Melania Trump, marking a rare moment where such innovation was formally showcased before international leaders in a diplomatic setting.
“The future of AI is personified – it will be formed in the shape of humans. Very soon artificial intelligence will move from our mobile phones to humanoids that deliver utility,” she said.
“This technology may reset the modern world order and rebalance power. Your children must be prepared to ascend within this framework.
“Our coalition can make this vision real by supporting concrete initiatives that equip young people with the skills they need – invest, expand access, and foster new opportunity.”
In addition, delegates from nine countries, including the United States, France, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, and Morocco, outlined their respective national plans for incorporating advanced technology into their education sectors.
