Olakunle Churchill has addressed ongoing online reports claiming he has separated from his wife, actress Rosy Meurer, insisting the story making rounds on social media is false and misleading.
In a lengthy Instagram post titled “FALSE DIVORCE CLAIMS AND PUBLIC MISINFORMATION,” Churchill dismissed the divorce rumours outright, saying there is no legal basis for such claims.
He wrote: “The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such.”
Clarifying the nature of their union, Churchill explained that there was never a court or church wedding, stating that their only formal introduction makes talk of divorce baseless. “There was no legally recognised marriage. There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction,” he said.
He also questioned reports suggesting legal proceedings had taken place without his involvement, insisting he was never served any documents. “I was never served. So I ask a simple question: what exactly is being presented to the public, and how was it obtained?” he added.
Churchill further criticised what he described as misinformation being spread online, alleging that incorrect advice may have influenced public narratives around the situation. He also questioned the authenticity of alleged court timelines being circulated.
Addressing wider personal issues, he referenced his past relationship with actress Tonto Dikeh, stating that both of them have moved on and resolved their differences privately. “If Tonto offended anyone, it should be me alone… we have both chosen to forgive each other,” he said.
He added that matters between them should not be turned into public discussions, stressing that such issues are personal and should remain private.
Churchill also reacted to claims that Rosy Meurer played an overstated role in his life, saying he does not agree with such narratives being exaggerated online.
The clarification comes amid renewed social media conversations about his marriage and personal relationships, which have continued to attract public attention and speculation.
