Nigerian rapper Zlatan drew attention during a visit to his alma mater, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), after correcting an MC who referenced the “City Boy” movement while addressing the crowd.

During the event, the MC attempted to associate the gathering with the political slogan, but Zlatan immediately interrupted and clarified that the occasion was about MAPOLY and nothing else.

The singer made it clear that the focus should remain on celebrating his former institution rather than introducing political references.

“No Be City Boy Movement We Dey Do Here. Na MAPOLY we dey do here,” he said.

His remark was met with loud applause from those in attendance, as many cheered his response.
