Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has opened up about how he recently gave out N10.2 million to people in need, describing the donation as his own version of paying tithe.
Speaking during an interview with Broadway TV, the actor disclosed that the amount was drawn from a recent N102 million he earned from acting jobs, noting that he deliberately set aside 10 percent to support the less privileged.
“For now, I am the richest actor. The last time I checked my book, I realised that I have made N102 million from artists’ fees lately. Not in my whole career, but just recently.
“I donated N10.2 million, which is 10 per cent of the money, to the needy on the street.
“I don’t pay tithe to the church. I don’t go to church. I don’t believe in paying tithe to the church,” he explained.
Zubby Michael added that instead of giving to religious institutions, he prefers to extend help directly to individuals who are in urgent need of financial support.
