Streamer Carter Efe has sparked fresh controversy online after claiming that the car allegedly gifted to him by music star D’banj was not actually handed over as publicly believed.

In a viral video, Carter Efe accused D’banj and media personality Sunday Are of misleading him, insisting that the entire process surrounding the gift was not genuine.

He alleged that what was presented as a car gift turned out to be a complicated arrangement that required him to pay ₦65 million before he could access the vehicle.

According to him, he was made to believe he had been gifted a car, only to later discover that the deal was not straightforward.

“They didn’t give me any car. Sunday Are too was doing as if he was advising me whereas he was just cajoling me not to spoil their plan. They gave me a useless car. I didn’t beg you to give me car.”

Carter Efe further described the supposed gift as “audio,” a slang used to suggest that something exists only in announcement but not in reality.

“D-banj whine me. He didn’t give me motor. That motor he gave me is audio motor. He told me to pay 65 million naira before he could give me the car. Me that E-money gift me money for free. If I swear for D-banj and Sunday Are, they might not see tomorrow.”

The claim has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with many users questioning the circumstances surrounding the alleged gift. As of press time, neither D’banj nor Sunday Are has responded to the allegations.
