National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, has revealed that the party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, once offered activist Aisha Yesufu a House of Representatives ticket, but she declined the offer.
Dickson made the disclosure during a stakeholders’ meeting of the party in Abuja, amid ongoing internal tensions and political disagreements within the party structure.
According to him, the offer was made as part of efforts to involve key supporters in the party’s political structure, but Yesufu reportedly turned it down.
“Now, talking about the FCT, do you know that Peter Obi and I offered Aisha Yesufu a House of Representatives ticket, but she turned it down?
“House of Representatives that people are fighting for, she said she’s too big for it,” he said.
The remarks have since generated reactions online, especially following recent exchanges involving Yesufu and party leaders over internal disputes and political positioning.
