Jowizaza’s father, Joseph Ezeokafor has reportedly been abducted in Awka, Anambra State, after allegedly visiting a mountain alone for overnight prayers.
Ezeokafor, who is also founder of Jezco oil was said to have been k!dnapped last week in the Ifite area of Awka.
The alleged incident was made public by lawyer Chukwudi Iwuchukwu in a Facebook post on Sunday.
According to Iwuchukwu, the businessman went to the mountain without his usual security personnel and police escorts, leaving him vulnerable to the attackers.
He claimed that the gunmen stormed the location while Ezeokafor was praying and subsequently took him to an undisclosed destination.
Iwuchukwu described Ezeokafor as a billionaire businessman and said his decision to go to the mountain without his security team was unusual.
The lawyer further alleged that the attackers took advantage of Ezeokafor’s vulnerability during the prayer session.
He wrote that the businessman had gone “alone to pray and seek the face of God without his security details and his policemen attached to him as it has been a normal practice for the billionaire businessman in the past.”
“In the course of the fervent prayers and his vulnerability, he was picked up by unknown gunmen who took him away to an unknown location,” he added.
