Gbemso, the new partner of MC Fish, has once again come to his defence following his divorce from actress Anita Joseph.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Gbemso argued that society should stop automatically blaming men whenever a marriage ends. She maintained that not every divorce follows the same pattern and warned against comparing every failed marriage to the widely publicised split between Yul Edochie and Queen May.
She also accused some people of using social media platforms to unfairly tarnish the image of men after divorce.
Defending MC Fish, she wrote:
“It seems there is this new trend of ‘Man must go down’ when there is divorce. Come on. This ain’t cool at all. Not all of us will buy into this. You all can’t play Queen May’s real-life experience in a divorce saga. Sometimes divorce happens simply because the marriage isn’t working. Not every man is a Yul, and not every woman is a Queen May.
“And innocent blogs are being used as a tool; women have weaponised the voice that is meant for people in pain to destroy men just because of the hurt of being divorced. It’s very sad, but the truth would always prevail.”
